| We have selected a spectacular but not especially expensive hotel – Termas Puyehue (http://www.puyehue.cl/). It is pleasantly isolated, near the shore of Lago Puyehue and at the foot of Volcán Casablanca (view across the lake to Volcán Puyehue), and is self-sufficient in terms of conference rooms and restaurants. There is a natural hot-spring spa and other health and exercise facilities within this architecturally interesting building.
Participants are responsible for making their own room reservations (apart from individuals who will receive partial financial aid for accommodations), but we have reserved a block of rooms during SOTA. Participants wishing to arrive one or more days before January 28, or to extend their stay in order to take advantage of Termas Puyehue as a site for relaxing and enjoying southern Chile, should contact the hotel as early as possible. We emphasize that this period falls at the height of high tourist season. We expect the hotel to be fully booked, well in advance, during the SOTA meeting.
Accommodations at Hotel Termas Puyehue
All costs of accommodations at Termas Puyehue will be paid separately by participants, with the exception of those who will receive financial aid to partially cover housing costs. Room rates for the high season in 2007 are $110, $124 and $139 US Dollars for standard single, double and triple rooms, $146-$162 and $175-$185 USD for superior single and double rooms, $220 and $375 USD for superior double suites (3+ persons), and $320 USD for an apartment for up to 6 occupants. The rates shown on the hotel's current list of room rates are for the low season, and are lower than the rates quoted above. The cost of accommodations includes daily buffet breakfast, and access to the thermal pools and other sports/fitness facilities. Refunds for room reservation cancellations will conform to the hotel's policy.

Use the comment box at the bottom of the page to insert the following information:
1) Identify yourself as a SOTA 2007 participant
2) Specify the number of people in the room and the names of your roommates,
3) If you want a double or triple room, but do not have roommates, insert a request that you share a room with other people in the same situation.

The message should include: name, passport number, country of origin, days that you will be in the hotel, and the kind of room required. Identify yourself as a SOTA 2007 participant, and include items 2) and 3) above. Payment information will be requested in a response to the e-mail message, and a confirmation number will follow receipt of the payment information.
