| The deadline for submission of four-page extended abstracts is October 12, 2006 (link will be available below), and the registration deadline is November 6, 2006 (Click here to go to registration page). The maximum number of participants will be 85. If the meeting is over-subscribed, as we anticipate it might be, the final list of participants will be selected by the Program Committee before October 20, 2006, largely on the basis of abstract content. As submitted abstracts will be distributed to the Program Committee as soon as possible after October 12, late submission of abstracts will have a negative impact on the selection of the authors for oral presentations, and eventually for inclusion in the meeting if it is oversubscribed.
Scientists considering participation in SOTA 2007 are asked to review the list of 16 prioritized topics , as your reactions and contributions to these issues will influence the content of the Program. We encourage you to orient your contribution in response to the challenge that this meeting should lead to significant progress, either towards resolving these or related issues or by defining the research strategies that would be required to move the general subject forward.
All oral presentations will be made in Powerpoint.
